Truly Supportive Sandals for Summer

This summer is hot. There is no denying that. The last thing I want to do is enclose my feet in hot and sweaty shoes all day. I also do not care to burn my feet on hot pavement while out and about. Thankfully, I’ve got a stylish pair of Therafit supportive sandals that not only look and feel great but actually offer support for my feet. Unlike my favorite pair of flip-flops.

Sandals are Handy in Summer

Let’s face it, when I’m headed out the door nothing interrupts my flow quite like having to stop and put on shoes. If I am running across the street to grab the mail I need something on my feet to protect them from the blacktop in the hot summer sun. But I don’t want to go find socks, unlace my sneakers, relace them up, just to walk across the street then take them off again. It’s so much easier to slip on some sandals and go.

These Lolas are perfect. The front strap is easily adjusted to my foot and left alone. The upper strap is on elastic, so easily hangs open so I can slip my foot in. Then I just pull it closed and stick it with the hook and loop closure. Quick and easy.

Most Sandals are NOT Supportive

Supportive Sandals

I love my flip-flops. I do. But if I wear them all day, my poor feet feel it. They are literally just a flat piece of foam, rubber, and faux leather. I used to have very high arches that collapsed during my last pregnancy, so my feet need more support than ever now. Yet most “supportive” sandals are generic and almost as much a pain to put on as laced shoes. Plus I think most of them are ugly.

Summer is hot. We don't want to wear hot shoes all day. Thankfully, these stylish supportive sandals actually offer great support for your feet.

Truly Supportive Sandals

I love my Therafit Boots. But there is no way I’m wearing them in the summer. I was so excited to learn that Therafit has sandals too! And they are just as comfortable and supportive as their other shoes. And they do not sacrifice style. Their patented and accredited Personal Comfort System assures that I not only get the proper support that my feet need, but I can adjust them to be perfectly comfortable to wear.

Supportive Sandals

There is something about removing the middle bar in the system that just works for me. These supportive sandals, just like the boots, have a removable insole as well in case you don’t like it. I love it, personally. It has a deep heel cup and perfect arch support. It’s also memory foam and gel that cushions and protects my feet. But if you do remove the insole, the bottom of the shoe does have a cute leopard print pattern and unique detail stitching. That was a fun surprise!

Supportive Sandals

Adding or removing a bar from the heel of the shoe isn’t just for comfort. It changes the heel angle and foot positioning as well. Impact resistance, strike force, and cushioning level are changed. So it not only supports your foot how it needs to be supported for its comfort but for its health as well.

Slip Resistance

Supportive Sandals

I don’t have many opportunities to go sailing where I live, but an added bonus to these sandals is they have slip-resistant bottom traction. Even barefoot I slip on the slipped water on my laminate floors. Not so in these shoes! So I know they work. For people in work environments that are allowed to wear open-toed shoes, but need something comfortable, and stylish, and slip-resistant, these are perfect. Or for those wonderful sailing excursions on a slippery boat deck. Plus, they have an anti-microbial coating to prevent bacterial smells and mold. So splash away in the cool water this summer!

Cute and Comfy

Supportive Sandals

At first glance, I thought these sandals seemed a bit bulky. All that support seemed to weigh the shoe down. When I got them on, however, I found them to be lightweight and really cute! I love the combination of grey leather uppers combined with the soft and smooth black suede front looks great. The insole has cute silver flowers printed on it. And I mentioned the main insole of the shoe has a cute leopard print.

The slight ruching of the front strap adds some style and texture without being gaudy. Even the soles of the shoes work with the traction coming up the back of the heel and the circles of the PCS rods. A fun starburst pattern sits on the sole arch.

Worth It

Looking at these sandals, it can be a little tough to swallow the price. As a mom, I almost never buy anything for myself. But I am here to say, these are worth it. I can see them lasting me years and years. They are beyond comfortable and are actually good for my feet. I can wear them for just about anything. I would even wear these to an outdoor wedding without shame (although I am from Colorado and things are usually pretty casual out there, ha!). I’m loving my Therafit Lola sandals and while I do occasionally slip on the old flip-flops from time to time, I don’t think I’m ever going back to regular sandals after this.

  4. It is true most sandals are not comfortable but these are good quality from a great brand. The fact that you can add or remove the bar for comfort and agility is very telling about the quality of this sandal

  8. I won a pair of Therafit clogs several years ago. After months of recovering from a badly broken ankle, the Therafit clogs were the only shoes I could wear for a while. The left shoe also worked great as I pulled myself in a wheelchair. I have hardwood in my living room, dining and kitchen. They gave me grip to roll around to cook. I hope to have another pair someday. I totally wore out the pair I had.

  21. Sandals are my go to shoe all summer long but some of the ones I have don’t fit well or I find that my feet will feel sore after a longer time in them. These looks great with the arch support and adjustable strap.

  22. I always have a hard time finding sandals that offer arch support. Normally the ones that I do find are ugly and not stylish these are really cute and I really like the adjustable velcro strap.
