“Stress” should be every mom’s middle name. We face so many stressful situations on a daily basis there should be a medal for participation. And at the end of the day I know I can have a difficult time truly winding down. Sure, I meditate nightly, but not all meditations are as successful as others, especially after a long busy day. Make the Time and Take the Time

As a busy mom, it is incredibly difficult to find time for myself. I have to set clear boundaries when I want some time to relax. Baths are one of my favorite relaxing activities to help mellow out. The problem is that my kids love baths too. So when I want to take a bath for me I try to wait until they are asleep in bed or I say, “you are not allowed to bug me for the next 20 minutes unless it’s an emergency.” They usually don’t make it, but I at least get some time to just soak and relax.

It’s the little things that help me each and every day. There is nothing like taking an extra 5-10 minute after a shower or bath to moisturize my skin. It’s just one simple act of self-care that is easily overlooked. It’s easy to just rush through everything after you finally have your hair washed for the week. I have suffered from Insomnia my entire life. For as long as I can remember, even as a little child, I would lay in bed for hours after bedtime just waiting for sleep to come. So, I use topical aromatherapy, like the Life Flower CBD Roll-On full of Safflower Oil, Valerian Root Extract, Therapeutic-Grade Lavender Essential Oil, Organic Hemp-Derived Cannabidiol Isolate, Organic Lavender & Chamomile Buds, Organic Sunflower Lecithin, and a Cleansed & Charged Amethyst. The CBD and lavender and valerian help me relax enough to actually fall asleep. It’s amazing.

  1. I really need to try these more natural calming helps. I’m trying so hard to get off my sleep medications. It’s not healthy to stay on them so long.
