Whether you’re entertaining for a special occasion or you just need the best dishwasher to handle your family’s everyday life I’m sharing what I look for in the best dishwasher and why I’m so ecstatic over the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher.

I want to share some tips with you on what to look for in order to get the best dishwasher for you and your needs. I have to admit that until we received the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher I thought we had a quality dishwasher. When we received and started to use our LG QuadWash Steam I realized quite quickly that our “old” dishwasher, which was only a couple of years old was not anywhere near the same league as the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher.We went through this past holiday season with our old dishwasher where I realized afterwards that I was in the habit of rinsing the dishes and cutlery before putting them in the dishwasher. I know it’s crazy; my daughter even asked why we wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I realized I had gotten into the habit because they weren’t always coming out clean.Enter the new LG QuadWash Steam just near the end of the holidays, but just in time for my hubby’s birthday celebration. We put the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher to the test over this last month between everyday family use and the celebration of my hubby’s birthday.

Here are a few things that I would consider must-haves when recommending the best dishwasher for everyone. No surprise, the LG QuadWash Steam has all of these features and much more.

Energy Star^® Rated

The LG QuadWash Steam is environmentally friendly, using less energy than required by current federal standards. Let’s face it, the cost of energy can be high, and we need to save money where we can. An energy star rated appliance that is also environmental is a must-have requirement in order to be in the running for the best dishwasher.

TrueSteam^® Sanitization: Less Water Spots

I hate – and yes – I mean hate, water spots. Too many times (with ALL of my previous dishwashers) when we would be entertaining and I go to set up the cutlery and glassware for the occasion, I would find water spots. I would end up having to re-wash the glasses and, in particular, had to remove the water spots. Who wants to have to do that extra work? Especially when you’re already busy in life, let alone when getting ready for a party. Not me!The LG QuadWash Steam technology helps save you time by reducing the inconvenience of pre-washing dishes. Hot steam particles penetrate every corner of the dishes for a hygienic clean. I can say this makes mom very happy!

The high-temperature steam removes baked-on, caked-on food from the dishes, sanitizing and reducing excess water spots. Hallelujah! The LG QuadWash Steam does do all of this; we put it to the test more than once, but especially the night of hubby’s birthday celebration. Plates with cake still stuck on them and other various foods. We had a lot of food that night, of course.

High Capacity

For three people we seem to go through a lot of dishes, so it’s handy to have a high capacity dishwasher that we are not having to run every single day. It’s even better when you’re entertaining guests like you guessed it: hubby’s birthday gathering. We didn’t use paper plates because hello, it’s a waste and had the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher which made cleaning up a lot easier.With room for up to 15 place settings of dishes, we were able to load ALL of the dishes and glassware from the birthday gathering in one fell swoop. No dirty dishes in the sink, yay!

EasyRack^™ Plus

Thanks to the folding tines, I can fit dishes wherever I want. We can even adjust the height of the racks on the fly for more space. This has been a blessing as I can’t tell you how many times I couldn’t fit a serving bowl or other items into our old dishwashers; now I can adjust as needed. The enhanced EasyRack^™ Plus system provides outstanding flexibility and convenience. The newly designed bottom rack has convenient flexible features that allow for larger bowls, and even stemware.

Quiet

I thought our previous dishwasher was quiet enough even though I made sure to not turn it on before bed because I could hear it running. It also beeped when it was done, loud enough that it sometimes woke me up. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about the level of noise with the LG QuadWash Steam as it’s so quiet. I have stood next to it while it has been running and I still had to lean in to try to hear it running. If the lights weren’t on to indicate that it was running, I would have had doubts that I had turned it on!

The advanced filtration system that aids the LG QuadWash Steam to operate quietly is also the secret to it being tough on leftover food and dirty dishes, even without pre-washing! I’m so happy I don’t have to pre-wash any more, have I mentioned that yet?!

Clean From Every Angle

One of the many reasons I have yet to pre-wash any of my dishes with the LG QuadWash Steam is because it cleans from every angle. It has four spray arms instead of just the standard two arms. The LG QuadWash Steam also includes Multi-Motion arms that rotate back and forth while spinning. The high-pressure jets power-clean dishes from multiple angles to reach every nook and cranny.

Customized Cycles

While we generally always fill up our dishwasher to capacity, sometimes you have to get half a tub cleaned in case unexpected company or even you need a certain casserole dish that is caked-on with food but is still sitting in the dishwasher. This has happened and in the past instead of turning on the dishwasher, because I didn’t want to waste energy, water etc. on cleaning a dishwasher half-full, I would take out the needed dish and hand-wash them. Not the best choice.Now thanks to the many functions of the LG QuadWash Steam which I’m not exaggerating are a blessing from the heavy duty steam cycles to energy-efficient half load cycles, making it easier for me to get the dishes clean, when I need them. I don’t have to wait to fill the dishwasher if I don’t have to and I don’t have to feel guilty about wasting energy or anything else!

BONUS FEATURES

These features on the LG QuadWash Steam may not be considered “essential” but now that I have them if and when I ever have to look for and/or recommend a dishwasher I would look to see if they had these features.

LED Tub Light

I have to admit I opened and closed the dishwasher door a few times just to check out this feature. It helps to double check that your dishes are indeed truly clean and it’ gives the interior a very cool look.

SmartThinQ^®

This techy mama’s geeky heart loves the fact that the LG QuadWash Steam also features SmartThinQ connectivity. This allows me to monitor and diagnose my dishwasher usage on the SmartThinQ app. It’s a cool feature that the geek in me could go on about, but I won’t today. It’s so easy to use though, you just download the app, press the WiFi button on the dishwasher and the two connect!

You can see how long is left in the cycle or even get a notification when it’s done. Since it’s so quiet this is handy; sometimes when I’m waiting on it to finish in order to set-up for dinner or having people over. The SmartThinQ connectivity is a handy bonus feature. Shhh…don’t tell anyone but I spent a little too much time checking this out just for the fun of it.

In a nutshell, until I received the LG QuadWash Steam dishwasher, I had no idea that I didn’t have anything close to having the best dishwasher. Now I can say that I do as it cleans beyond expectation, is versatile and generally makes our chaotic home a little less chaotic, at least when it comes to dirty dishes! If I had known how awesome this dishwasher was, I would have made it my first dishwasher purchase the first time.
